Military Spending versus Foreign Aid

Infographic for Military Spending versus Foreign Aid

About this infographic

The title “Granade or Aid” is apt for the question this infographic covers: does the United States spend more on military or on foreign aid, and what is the spending relative to other countries? The infographic does a great job in visualizing the data, and includes an interesting extra: apparently Americans overestimate foreign aid spending but want cuts. They estimate 25% of the budget goes to foreign aid and think that should be reduced to 10%. The actual level of US foreign aid is 0.6% of the budget.
